Who We Are
PERC stands as a beacon of innovation and collaboration in the eye care industry, uniting over 7,500 member locations across all 50 states. This extensive network empowers practices through innovative solutions, study groups, and robust networking opportunities. By fostering a culture of shared knowledge and collective growth, PERC enhances the capabilities of eye care providers and elevates the standards of patient care.

PERC drives vendor value by negotiating competitive pricing on behalf of its members, leveraging the substantial buying power that comes with its large, united membership. This strategic approach ensures that even the smallest practices can access the same cost advantages as the largest groups, leveling the playing field and promoting fair competition. Study groups within PERC provide a platform for continuous learning and professional development, enabling members to stay abreast of the latest advancements in eye care. These groups facilitate the exchange of ideas, best practices, and emerging trends, fostering an environment of mutual support and growth.

Networking is another cornerstone of PERC’s success. By connecting members with peers, industry experts, and vendors, PERC cultivates a dynamic community where collaborative efforts lead to innovative solutions and improved patient outcomes. Regular events, conferences, and online forums create opportunities for meaningful interactions and long-lasting professional relationships.
Forming & Growing PERC
Our History

The journey of PERC began in 2008, when Drs. David Golden and Howard Stein recognized the potential to reduce their cost of goods by leveraging the collective buying power of their eight locations. This realization marked the inception of a revolutionary approach to purchasing within the eye care industry. As Dr. David Golden articulated, "We started PERC to improve our own businesses, and we quickly realized that there are many other successful practices that also wanted to do better. We understood that the best way to grow and improve is to work collectively."
In January 2013, PERC formed a strategic alliance with Infinity Vision Alliance (IVA), founded by Drs. Richard Frieder and Aaron Sako. IVA was dedicated to helping private practice owners strategize for success amidst the challenges of practice ownership and a fluctuating economy. This alliance merged the strengths of both organizations, providing PERC+IVA offices the purchasing power of a multi-million-dollar entity. The alliance's success facilitated the addition of new benefits, such as frame distribution and enhanced vendor partnerships. 2019 marked a significant milestone with the rebranding of PERC+IVA to PERC, complete with a new logo and a refreshed identity. This rebranding unified the community, reinforcing PERC's mission to support its members through a singular, cohesive identity.
